Sam Shepard was an acclaimed American actor, playwright, and author. He wrote 58 plays and won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1979 for 'Buried Child'. Shepard was also nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in 'The Right Stuff'.
